two noob questions

I haven't played EQ in two years and I am thinking of reactivating my account. First I have two questions that I could use some feedback on.

1) Should I just wait until EQII comes out or reactivate EQ (I was hoping EQII would be out by now, but now who knows when it will finally launched and playable)

2) I used to love playing my rogue, but soloing over lvl 25 was near impossible. I now have more free time so I can group more often, but I also like to just kick around a bit on my own sometimes. Is that possible with a rogue or will I be forced to pick a different class?

Well for the first one, I have not been keeping up with EQ2 very well so not sure of release date but it probably wont be out for awhile. If your looking for some entertainment now, I wouldnt hold my breath for eq2.

Secondly, I dont beleive soloing as a rogue above 25 I dont beleive we've changed much. Depending on your skills and gear, you could solo somewhat decently as a pure melee when you occasionally feel like it. However, its usually not as good as at least finding another to duo with. Do whatever you feel like, but if you enjoyed the Rogue class before then I would think it'd be worth it. Also, with the new LFG options and LDoN I find that decent groups arent too hard to come by. 1) I wouldn't hold my breath for EQ2, personally.

2) I have made a beastlord alt for when I feel like soloing and its easy, even without gear, though you will be forced to pet cleric a bit more than your average well-equiped Beastlord. I have both, an under-equiped Beastie on Firiona and a well-equiped Beastie on Xegony. The differences are noticable.

As you can see despite better available Im still partial to ravenscale (at one time I wore the entire set including renux drops), and just like my webpage its old and needs to be upgraded heh. Iksar chestplate still sells for quite a bit I would look into selling it for plat then buy low sell high strat to get much better stuff. Well then its just me, you might not like trading or not know prices, so take it with grain of salt

EQ 2 scares me. Anything player made economy does though, since SWG. That was the worst game in existence. Anyway, to make uber items you get to do Crafter raids, where you all get together and try and make good gear. I also heard something about rotting stuff. I work hard for the gear that I have and wouldn’t want to see it rot. So I would say stick with EQ1.
