Simple question really.
Does the backstab % stack if you have 2 weapons with a bonus to backstab on it? I've been told many things by many different people and was just wondering because it could greatly effect my weapon selection choices thanks!

Your Gargoyle Talon caps your backstab anyhow, so adding another mod weapon will not affect your skill regardless of wether they stack or not.
Also, afaik, they don't stack.

I just personally verified that Pick Lock mod items don't stack.
No hard proof, but I'd guess that Backstab mods don't stack either. -------------------------

No, backstab mods should not stack (not to my knowledge anyway), the argument for the lockpick mods stacking was a different issue entirely than two worn +backstab % items.
EDIT: I see where you were talking about it. 201 is the skill needed for the NFP bank door. Get gloves of the brood and mechanized lockpicks and try. 200.7 skill will not round up to 201. Marauder Arakasi

Getting offtopic, but I tried with over 201. Well, it would be over 201 if the two item mods stacked.

It didn't work with 194 plus 2% Gauntlets plus 2% Mech Lockpicks.
Getting somewhat back on topic, how are the backstab mod stacking and lockpick mod stacking issues different? I haven't really heard anything about that. -------------------------

They don't stack. You had only a 2% mod, not 2% + 2% = 4% mod. Gareen

Previously, here at the safehouse, someone claimed to have verified the stacking of lockpick mods, on the NFP bank door, actually, with 194 skill. It sparked some discussion, though no one except he who made the claim had verified that you could stack two lockpick mods and that this could be done.
The theory at the time was that a worn mod could stack with a "held" mod (i.e. mechanized lockpicks on your cursor) because lockpicking was unique in that it is the only skill in which you can actually use a % mod while you have the said item "held". Tradeskills, backstab, etc. all had stacking issues assumedly only because you could not wear one and "hold" one at the same time as you could with lockpicks. Marauder Arakasi

That's exactly what I was testing. As Arakasi said, someone said that lockpick mods do stack. I read elsewhere that they don't. So I wanted to see for myself if they did or not, to be 100% sure. I've also heard different things about how EQ rounds partial numbers (in different areas, not just Pick Lock or even skills in general), so I plan to try it again with 197 + 2% (200.94) to verify rounding, at least on Pick Lock. Again, it doesn't really make any huge difference on anything, I just like to know things for sure. -------------------------
