Can a 50 rogue solo Ghoul Arch Magi?

Hi fellow rogues, long time lurker first time poster. Here's my question. Can a lvl 50 rogue make it down and solo the Ghoul Arch Magi in lower guk for the Shiny Metallic Robe?

I'd say no.

With full HP and a single-pull Magus, Virtue, SoV and CoSeasons, you'd still probably lose. I know I've lost to him at lvl 60 with epic mainhand and lowbie cleric/shammy buffs, and that was a single pull with a lot of circle-strafing and significantly better resists.

He has a LOT of HP's. I've got a pretty decently-twinked Pally (unbuffed 2500hp, 1200+AC) that has trouble soloing him at 55, and she can almost completely shut down his casting ability, and an average of 50hp/tick regen (Ethereal Cleansing active for about half the fight)

You+Pally should shred him though, and if he/she has KEI you can get some decent exp/cash while you're camping it. Your Sister in Arms,

Your resists are pretty low, you are better off taking a group or shopping bazaar for it unless you have a few 2box toons to buff/heal you as you go. At least you have the advantage of being abe to circle-strafe your stabs in while the mob casts.

I failed at 65 when buffless and before I had a lot of the equip I do now ... course I was just messing around and thought "Oh sure ... no problem!". Sigh ... needless to say that one went unressed.

53 enchanter with hasted dar pet, chain stun = magus not getting a spell off and dying rather quickly. Rogues don't solo well.

Plus his HT at the start gives him a slight edge and at 50, you won't resist it. If he's already up when you're there, he'll probably have a small damage shield which will suck. At 50, I doubt you'll be able to break in the room let alone solo him. You'll need some help. Derrict Thealcoholic - Nameless Server

He's easy enough if you have at least one other person with you. I've done him duoed with a mage, done it with a druid and I've taken a cleric along too. Just as long as you've got someone else there to take the beating with you and you're smart about it.

I was in my 60's with strong resists before I was able to take him solo. (RB/DL + Virtue). The sad irony of soloing casters is that they're *much* more dangerous once they run out of mana.

I think I was able to solo him as a wizard at about 54, thanks largely to the wizard epic.

You're thinking of the Ghoul Lord Derrict. He harm touches. The Ghoul Arch Magus just nukes A LOT for about 650 a shot.

Once he's done cooking you, he runs up and melees for about 160 a shot, fairly rapidly, and of course runs a LONG ways once he's at about 20% health. Kodey - 51 Rogue

Level 65, 60 AA's, buffed, and fully equipped in raid gear and I still needed one complete heal before killing him solo.

Need to try it again with full resist gear.

You + any other level 50 could do it. I very, very highly doubt you could solo him though. Maybe if you lucked out on procs to snare, slow, poison, and intimidate him after clearing any possible adds on his running path then you could but it would be tough in the extreme. You'd need high resists and epic at the least too.

I could barely, just barely solo him at level 60 with much better gear than you have right now. I'd say definite no at 50.

I agree with everyone else in you wont be able to solo him. But as the Paly not being able to solo him I can't believe. My Paly's gear is kinda crappy, esspecially saves wise, and he solo'ed the Magus multiple times for my rog and only buffs he had we're self buffs and KEI. But with help , yea, you got him !
