Nagafen Issue

Okay, I have a problem.

A while back, I managed to sneak into Nagafen's Lair with SoS, and get behind him. I broke hide, but not sneak, and pressed backstab. My backstab landed on Nagafen, and then I was promptly ported out, as I should have been.

I'm having people on my server tell me that it was not possible for me to have done this. They say that the moment I pressed backstab, I would have been ported out before a hit or miss even registered.

I am trying to reproduce the scenario to take a screenshot, but I can't seem to find a time when I can play that Nagafen just happens to be up.

Has anyone else backstabbed Nagafen at level 65 besides me? Does anyone happen to have a screenshot? Could anyone lead any insight to what I managed to do? Was it a bug? Are you going to tell me I am lying too?

i have tried several times...just to get ported out after i pick him dry and i have never landed one. as soon as sneak drops im ported. before the stab lands even. this is odd because on a rallos raid if you arent in the raid and hit rallos, your hit counts. then you are ported out.

I bet it was a case of serverside lag. The server managed to calculate you combat round before it got the message off to exile you

sorry, i meant as soon as i hit the backstab key. sneak doenst drop until he ports you out.

I think the key here is he dropped hide first. Since he did sneak never broke and naggy never saw the backstab coming until it stuck him. If he backstabbed with hide&sneak up, he would have broke hide (and thus sneak) when hitting backstab and booted before it landed.

If you have sneak + hide on backstab will only break hide. Sneak doesnt break until the mob casts a spell on you or tries to hit you(no matter if it misses or not) afaik. Mirux Silvermist
