Is Dire charm 9 wasted aas in LDoN?

I haven't seen anything to charm yet. Did I waste 9 aas?

I dunno if I would call it 'wasted'. There IS life outside of LDoN...

Even in the dungeons though, depending on how far your group is spread out in levels (since groups can take a 7-level spread). If you are one of the higher players in the group with some of the folks near 7 levels lower than you, I'm willing to bet you'll run across at least one mob that will be DC'able. Play around with your group makeup a bit maybe; maybe you'll get lucky.

DC is great for the down-and-dirty killing tactics such as clearing to the Arena in Kael to wipe out a giant there. DC one of the Storm Giant Nobles and there ya go...instant dps. It just has its limits in tailored dungeons since the mobs are all made to the average level of your group.

Just my thoughts. I myself don't have a chanter, but I regularly group with a lvl 65 chanter friend who uses it all the time.

Yes, because you cannot use a skill in a few zones means that those aa's are COMPLETELY WASTED.

you know, I can't use wolf form in LdoN, MY SKILLS ARE FUXING USELESS! I can't use assassinate, or headshot in LDON @#%$!!!! Thats 4 aa's !

ugh... people that complain like that... .. .


and actually, yes there are some DCable mobs in there, named pets on hard mode. but if you're an enchanter complaining that you can't DC, then you need to use some of your other 500 abilities, might make you not think about those big 9 aa.

Hmm, going by the quote, you only said "did I waste 9 aa's?", not "are my 9aa's not useful in LDoN?".

See... you said "did I WASTE(as in you have no use for them at all, situational use is not waste) 9 aa's?"

Considering the usefulness of the ability(DC pets out damage mage pets), I would say no, you're 9 aa's were not wasted.

Although, I do somewhat apologize for my hastey ranting... but either way, it annoyed the @#%$ out of me.

Title of the thread is irrelevent. if she would have put "NT" then it would have made sense. but since she didn't, and said "Did I waste 9 aa's?", well. I mean seriously... think to yourself, take in the question slowly..."did.... I.... Waste... 9... aa's?" pretty clear to me.

The answer is simple.

When you think that you will the rest of your EQ time play in LdoN zones and there are no possibilties for DC then the aas are wasted.

When you see Ldon as a ( really small ) part of Everquest these 9 aas are never wasted.
