I am planning to start a dwarven rogue in WoW with skills in daggers / Poisons and gunnery.
Any Infos so far about gunnery and its effectiveness ?
PvE and PvP (duel only atm I know)

In the current state of the game, guns/bows/thrown weapons are only pulling tools. They don't do remotely enoguh damage to warrant more than two shots on the pull. That might be different for Hunters, but we don't know anything about them yet.
Guns and bows also have the disadvantage of taking up a bag slot (one of only 4 bag slots you get) for an ammo bag.
nice for pulling for true
also can be handy to shoot at mobs when they root/net you, and then wander out of melee range
