Quick run down of my official "I have nothing officially scheduled E3 day":
There seem to be more people attending this year than any of the prior years.
I was late to the media breakfast due to a traffic accident between a car and a bus and therefore didn't meet up with Zato (Zato btw, does NOT own a cell phone and I have to call him via his brother's cell phone).
I find City of Heroes / City of Villains. I play the game and my group (Villains) wins. I get a t-shirt and a comic book, hehe. I talk to the devs a bit about the game. It's more fun than I thought it might be (sorry CoH fanbois).
I stumble upon the closed SOE booth and get in. I play EQ2 a little bit, and ask questions and take some movies... keep an eye out, I have a movie of a high end EQ2 encounter, not sure of the quality yet.
I have lunch with a friend who I haven't seen in a while. His friends are also along and give their opinions on some console games (2 of the guy are split on the lastest Tribes -- one says it sucks, the other likes it). Good pizza (though it's the fancy restaurant kind with the thin authentic Italian crust -- authentic comment based on pizza I've actually had in Italy).
People have said that Jennie McCarthy, Gary Coleman, Stan Lee and Bam and the midget guy from Jackass are here. I haven't seen em myself but I've seen Gary Coleman from other years at E3. Vin Diesel is supposed to be here tomorrow.
There seem to be less booth babes this year, but maybe that's because I haven't walked around too much and am not really looking for them (sorry guys). If I have free time I'll try and take some eye candy pics for you.
I do swift passes on the Transformers and Battlefield: Modern Warfare booths.
A guy at the public Invidia EQ2 demo (I stopped by to see the official movie demo spiel) said that he recognized me. Turns out it's because of the Avatar's Offline documentary, hehe. The official EQ2 demo is at the invidia booth and they begin with a digital puppet co-host demo by Henderson Productions, pretty neat, I take a pic of some of the apparatus used to do it.
I'm debating on going to the Invidia party tonight, I didn't think the big party would be tonight so hadn't planned accordingly and I have about an hour and half drive home from where the party is going to be and then another 2 hour drive to get back here in the morning.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention... I saw a girl wearing one of my http://www.OffLineTshirts.com shirts! The DDR arrows one in the jr raglan style. Yay! :)
Alright, that's it for now. Sorry about the diary/journal style of the post but I'll beef it up with some gaming observations etc. when I file my official article. I also have official info from companies to put up with screenshots etc.
I'll post tomorrow if I can.
