I head into freeport to bank, there are 3 greens up on the walls basically farming other players as they go to bank, with the new loot system you cant even ninja and return the item. so I petition, after an hour or so I leave freeport, come back to meet a guildie and (now its been 2 hours since I first saw this) they are still there, plus a pk I know to be in my range is in zone, so I try to find him and you guessed it he exploit kills me. gets no loot at all but I am bound in oggok. at about the 3 hour mark I get a tell from a guide saying that all of teh peeps have logged off, *sigh* I am still in the freeport area transfering some goodies to guildies and the like so I head to the bank to dump off a final load and what do I see? THE SAME 3 PRICKS ARE STILL THERE! these guys were allowed to exploit kill people for 5 or nore hours straight, the friggin guide lied about it and all I can take from his response is that rallos now has an exploit tolerant policy. with the removal of ozuri as head gm I can only assume that this is the new gms policy.





and people have trouble understanding why I went through all that trouble to prove how hard it is to get banned. Diabalein Avidya

This new set of rules on SZ and the new hacking rules, show that Verant is soon going to be cuttin back on the staff and let the servers run wild.


Anyway, you should of gone to another bank, or called up some friends and routed em.

they were up on the walls and roofs in north freeport, useing /assist comands to target people in the bank then casting from the roof/walls to avoid guard aggro and of course be completly untouchable to melees trying to reach them for retaliation. if this is acceptable behavior then once more pvp becomes a total joke for melee classes across the board,
Cambik this cant be leagal even on sullen is it? if so then you are playing a caster because its stupid not to.
eq pvp = chanter, wiz, nec, mage, druid, shaman, everyone else is just another mob to be farmed for loot is what this boils down to, if its an exploit to use this to gain exp then HOW can it not be one when used for pvp? Diabalein Avidya

casting from roofs is something gm will do something about.

Just say they are killing guards, and not people and gm's will come running.

However on Sullon, this will be legal.

First off, ouch, in regards to the exploit. On Sullon though I'd say this type of exploit is probably a gray area. As a melee you could get levitate on yourself and get on the rooftops to fight them, or not bank there. It would be a tossup if you petitioned as to whether a GM would help or not. I really only see GM's getting involved on Sullon when it is an exploit that a melee couldn't possibly fight back, with or without levitate. If it is a situation you could with the correct item get to them to kill them, they probably won't get involved. Best way to handle them would be get a caster friend with levitate...lev both of you and maybe another friend and go flush them out Those type of people usually scatter to the winds when their advantage is gone, they just need someone to go after them and make them fear for their lousy lives.

I had no problem getting up to the roof tops and the only pk in my range I was looking for anyway. but the rest of them were just farming PLAYERS for loot. if I had said they have been killing guards for 5 hours or so the guide would have been all over them. any how on a positive note I smoked through 36 and 37 tonight. damn cc is good exp. Umm while Im not going to comment on this exploit wise.

But with some of my taller characters you can goto the jade balcony. Turn LEFT as you go onto the balcony, jump from the railing to the stone walls. Run around the backyard of the jade, towards the bank.

I havnt tried it with my shorter chars but try it. Grab a few other people they've killed, wait till they nuke someone else down below and they would be real easy kills.

Yeah, he's right. I've done it with my human and barbarian rogues. Jade store balcony will get you up there no problem. You won't need levitate or anything.

personally I just jump up onto the bank door frame and get up from there, I am not complaining about my death, the guys who were farming were all green to me. but I think its just nuts that vi cant tell the players what is and is not an exploit. I have seen people get suspended for this behavior before, in nfp. this time they just turn a blind eye, dont tell me that its leagal now, I mean wtf? its one or the other and it sure as hell isnt reasonable to only tell the hardcore pk's that exploit killing is now leagal and not the general population.
