About PvP Rogues

On Sullon Zek are rogues gonna be worth playing? I mean what makes a rogue so special? How do they do PvE as well?

Im interested in starting a rogue but kinda scared they will not be worth playing on SZ.

Whatever you find fun and entertaing is worth playing.

I would suggest ya play another class besides a rogue.

Aka... Rogues can do anything.. kill anyone.. and escape everytime... :P We're the gods of every form of combat as far as I'm concerned(Well.. cept spell combat..)...


I tested out a Rogue on test, the Hide is already in effect, it seems.. A friend and I made level 1 halfling rogues and dueled...of course, I won.. cause I had a parrying dagger and rapier :X..but he put up a good show..We'd both hide and all the sudden reappear behindthe other stabbing away.. it was a fun duel.. and everyone who watched seemed to like it..

I think Rogues are taking a seriously great turn with the new patch... who needs to PK someone when you can pickpocket them.. hide.. pickpocket again.. rinse and repeat..and then when bored.. leave... or kill'em

Rogues are melee. They suffer from the same melee problems the other classes do. They also have hp like a caster.

They are tough to solo mid level. They are demons in group.

You play a rogue cause you want to be a rogue not because you want to be uber. That's what necros, SKs, and druids are for.

Grrrrrr....I think whatever class you choose you should name the character something other than Ravin.

Other than that, I think rogues on Sullon will be one of the best classes to play because of the lack of twinks. But if you're heart's not in it, you'll hate it.

Dumb rogues don't survive. Smart rogues do. I wouldn't fight a necro my lvl on a PvP server. I would hide and walk away with that necro knowing I was anywhere near him but rogues OWN most tank classes. Especially warriors. I have never lossed a fight to a warrior. SK's can be tricky with HT, so they are always damage. PvP can be dangerous regardless of class. Just have to pick your battles wisely. If you get a class that can't see invis, you shouldn't die. Simple as that.

Rogues are worth playing if you have the skills it takes to fine-tune one to play in PvP. It is much harder, since we lack HP and AC to fend off a direct attack, so we must use stealth and tactics to our advantage. Like Dark Hour said, and I'm sure many more have. You must pick your fights wisely. Some classes, like Necros and SKs in particular, are harder. Those two can have pets that seem to be able to take more of a beating that any other. Also DoTs, See Invis, anything casters have is pretty much painful. High Magic Resist, tactics, close combat skills, are all important to a Rogue in this world.
