View Full Version : Would you prefer that people become PvP at level 2?

Personally, the way I see it, people should become becomb PK'able at level 2. Now, granted, this is coming from someone who fought tooth and nail to get level 5 in misty thicket a year and a half ago on RZ, before we had all these spare-the-bluebs-rules. But anyway, I think that level 2 would be a more proper level. This gives you some chance to relocate without being pvp'ed on your way there, but you've gotta do it NOW not after you get some gear etc.

Sorry, but it just disgusted me last night seeing an OGRE in Qeynos Hills and I could do nothing about it because he was green to me.

At least lower the PvP+ level some, 6 is too exploitable, as bards get selo's at 5, and can train their arse off on people with no repercussions.

Anyway, if anyone else feels this way, would you be willing to make a petition, /feedback, or spam the EQ boards ?

I'll send a single petition - spamming is bad for my quality of life!

They made it level 6 for the corpse decay timer. You could easily make someone lose their corpse w/ the low timer. But what they should do is remove the level 1-5 timer all together on Sullon only and make them like the level 6+ timer. But they should make the pvp switch at level 2 or 3 for exactly the reasons you said. Edited by: MalachiteSilvyrfrost at: 7/9/01 12:46:37 pm

yeah, it's because of the corpse decay. It wouldn't really matter, becasue people below level 6 on sullon don't have anything yet. The people who do this will eventually disappear, because you're not able to create a second charachter.

To be honest, I only want to be able to kill ALL my enemies, it's really not the training thing that bothers me. Plus, level 2 people just can't seem to resist those Ice Comets...

Anyway, who gives a crap about the corpse decay timer unless you're one of these people who "exploited" and made billions and billions of platinum in the first fifteen minutes of the game (sarcasm...).

Yeah the ogre in Qeynos is annoying, but not as bad as a bard with Selos training Giants or Griffs all over everybody for the "fun" of it. (damn Griefers)

During TestSZ I ran a Dark Elf warrior by the name of Skrappy (hi to all those that recognize me, sorry I decided to play a newt :p) and there was nothing more satisfying than landing a bash on a bard running by, then chopping the crap out of him while he tried to get Selos going again to get away...

If they won't lower the PK limit, they should raise Selos to level 6... Milicent Pennythief

Woot, this just in on Dev boards :)

We will be removing the below level 6 PvP immunity in mid to high level adventure zones. This will be done to prevent players below level 6 from causing grief without the higher level players having a means to retaliate. A prime example of this is the level 5 bard training sand giants in the oasis. Because this would be considered a mid level adventure zone, the level 5 bard could and would most likely be killed by another player. This will indeed make the trek from one city to another, which is currently pretty safe for players below level 6, much more difficult if it involves going through adventure zones.

LOL, dollar says Fansy will read that, and rush home on lunch hour to delete and start over. Heaven forbid you should ever show your face in NRo again...

I, personally, would prefer a time limit - after, say, 2 hours your pvp. Edgie Manasink, 55st Blackguard, Tarew Marr server Buntz, 11th shaman of Saecula Omnimodus Bellum, Sullon Zek server

Why are bearded female dorfs the best?
