I need advice on dueling a warrior friend of mine

ok guys, this is a matter of respect. My warrior friend tells me that rogues suck, i need to disprove this by whipping his arse. I need some strategies on doing so though. I need to know what poisons to use, anything else that would come in handy fighing a level 42 ogre warrior with the following stats:
HP - 1705
AC - 802
ATK - 943
STR - 203
STA - 142
AGI - 96
DEX - 101
WIS - 67
INT - 64
CHA - 22

P - 17
M - 56
D - 17

he is currenly using a wurmslayer and a yak, and full crafted armor, save for a tree weave and some other helmet(cant remember name, but its nothing uber) I have a make poison skill of 73 at the moment, and an apply skill of 73 also. I have 1.5k to spend on either equipment for myself, or raising poison skill. any help that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated, for the upkeeping of the rogue name to this mis-informed warrior.

Get to making Muscle Lock poison(s)...hit him with that to start..then just turn your back on him, and back up and hit backstab VERY fast..he cant turn around fast enough from what I've seen...and CIRCLE-STRAFE! keep to his side, and BEHIND him if you can..then you're dealing a good deal more damage than he is..

Back outta melee range a lot..thanks to the new updates..Hide takes you off target..he wont have a see-invis, I'll bet...so you can sneak/hide and backstab him from behind, then try to hide immediately again, thus causing him to lose his target(IE, you)...

And, I'd go the poison route..I'm not sure..but you may be able to score a few poisons on him..never really used poisons..so I dont know if they can be used more than once in a duel -=) If so, Muscle Lock, Strength Debuff him, and try to get one of the DOTs or Blinding ones on him..root'd be nice, too...that'll really limit him a LOT...and it'll give you a greater chance at winning..

anyways, if he is deul weilding he probobly wont be jousting too much, though jousting with a wurmy is almost as good.

with his PR you should land everything you try on him.

remember to turn your autoattack off when not inrange for a swing, as you miss attack rounds when you get the message aginst PC's.

If his pr is really that low, just waste him with poisons. I'd start with muscle lock, to root his arse. Step away, hide, apply another poison, whatever you want, whether its a dd, dot, blind, whatever. Go in, pump that in his blood, step out, hide, and reapply another muscle lock and just run in and waste him. U can get real cocky with this since u'r trying to prove a point.

When fighting him, while he's rooted, abuse the hide key. And make sure you aren't grouped with him since he can use the F keys to target u. Tell us how it goes!

If he cannot see invis, it is NOT possible to lose. Just be patient. Hide ten seconds or more at a time. Backstab, get a couple attacks in, hide again. There is no way you can lose.

vs ogres and trolls i like to run inbetween their legs for BS
if you stay close they have a REALLY tough time seeing you

youshould be able to BS him at will and beat him down before he beats you

that way you can beat him straight melee with no "roguely" skills
then whup again with poisons and hide/sneak and REALLY rub it in Tikker Gimblestan

Easy to make him realize rogues are awesome, just ask him to play a rogue. A warrior bud of mine thought his warrior was da best and laughed at my rogue. Then he started a rogue and got up to Lv 10. He loved it! He was addicted to the pickpockets and luved the backstabs

Run in a straight line for a few seconds, then stop, back up, BS him when he runs past. Stick in a few stabs if you have the time. Rinse, repeat.
Dont let him joust with you, though... WS's a nice little jousting weapon and you'll get pwned.

I nice little trick I like is when they (ogres) back up to a wall (wonder why? *grin*) you can actually jump onto their shoulders and BS and get a few hits in without them being able to touch you, it's also real fun hehe.

Personally, I'd apply Snare poison (any of them)... snare him. Back off, apply Blind II, whack him with that. Then sit down and watch him run around like an idiot.

When it finally wears off, tell him that if you wanted him dead, he'd be dead. If he gets attitude with you or still wants to fight, repeat above tactic and smoke his lame arse.

To be honest, any melee'er class except SK is a real joke if you have the right poisons on you. I usually prefer to humiliate them rather than kill them. General {G}Leafblighter

Well the prob is with that is that Verant has nerfed rogue poisons. I just tested a lot of them in one day. a long time ago I was able to blind a druid for a full duration of 42 seconds with Retinal Deactivator. On the peeps now, have to be lucky for it to last more than 3 seconds. Same with snare poison, I used so much and then it wore off in like a nanosecond.

Wurmslayer is an OWNAGE jousting weapon. But yes, if he doesn't have a see invis item, he's meat.

If he DOES have one, then things are going to get difficult - a warrior with good jousting skills is extremely tough to beat as a rogue. You really have to min-max your damage done to damage taken - hit him but NEVER let him hit you.

This is assuming you don't use poisons - poisons can rip the carpet out from under nearly any class if used correctly, including shadowknight - blinded shadowknights can't cast spells and don't run fast enough to outpace diagonal strafing.
