Regarding Gnoll Skins

I'm assuming the exact item flag is "blackburrow gnoll skin" as is listed. I have tried "perfect gnoll skins" (also rare-ish drop from the elites and commanders) and I'm getting a frustrating DNC. I wasted too many hours and finally 500pp to get the cask, only to find out the skins sitting in my inventory (that I bought for 100pp each ) didn't work.

Can someone confirm that it has to be "blackburrow gnoll skins" and not just any type of gnoll skin? Thanks.

Yep 'Blackburrow Gnoll Skin'.. exactly like that.. only drops off of elites/commanders.. rare as hell. They drop 'Blackburrow Gnoll Pelt' quite often though which has the same icon in inventory =p

non ruined skins also.. they sometimes drop ruined blackburrow skin.
its' all a matter of luck.. when i first did my quest about 6 month ago, i found 6 skins in 3h (the time it took me to get the blackburrown cask) and 2 weeks ago, when i redid it, i found 1 skin in 2h30.. and found the other 3 in the bazaar

Took another rogue around 4 hours to farm 7 skins, make sure you know all the elite/commander spawn points as well as the burly/brewers. By that time i was wandering Norrath and buying liquors all over the world. I gave the liquors to the other rogue and he gave me the 3 extra skins. I finally got the final skin out of Sabretooth himself. We saved each other time doing so and was enjoyable to have someone to chat doing it.

elite/commander/named spawn at:
in commander room ( 5 spawns?)
in room on the right (3 spawns)
on "elite ledge" (2 spawns)
in a room past the pit (1 spawn)
near the scout (1 spawn)
