Eidos buys IO Interactive

Today in their first half of 2004 interm results, Eidos has announced that they have agreed to purchase IO Interactive, home of the popular "Hitman" series of games.

Hitman: Codename 47 has sold over 600,000 copies worldwide, and Hitman 2: Silent Assassin has sold over 3 million copies worldwide.
