Saw this on another board and then got an email from Durran about it, so check it out.
Xfire

Xfire is an instant messaging client for gamers. It shows what games you friends are playing. You can see the game and join it from the client. With the release of BF vietnam and U2K4 around the corner, it makes it easier to find friends online. Instead of trying to host a server for everyone, just join the game they are in. Most of the top games are supported and the list is growing.

Well, I downloaded it to see what it was like, and try it out for a bit, but I soon find out that I can't connect to it through my school's firewall. This place blocks every port imaginable.
