Ok so a new storyline story was downloaded yesterday and I read through it. It talked about a mage who contacted Zeberoux (sp?) and went insane.

I discovered the mage in PoK he was wandering aoround and at times would break into a run, every once in a while he would spout off some random phrase. When hailed all he did was say something about he can't stop, doom to all. After about 3 or 4 minutes of wandering he depopped and I haven't seen him since.

Well some of the story and what he said was something about doom under the sands of Norrath and the story talked about a stone. So following clues I went to check N ro, Oasis, and S ro. Nothing was found in N Ro. In Oasis I found a blue con dwarf (conned amiable to me looks like dwarf faction) near the S Ro zone on the ledge above dervish camp holding a mg and a fishing pole. When hailed he says I am blocking his view and he is waiting for his friend to bring him sme water, when asked what friend he says be a good lad and fetch him some ale. Couldn't get any further reactions from any other phrases, bought every kind of alchol sold in oasis and he handed them back, handed back water flasks as well. So like anyone I figured if you can't get em to talk, then kill it.... Bad idea he punched through my 1500 point rune and landed a hit for 460 faster than I could react, ate my pet before I could make the S Ro zone line.

In S ro I found "A pouch of Sparkling Dust" laying in the corner behind Ortallicus (sp?) and his friend. Searched a few quest sites and no one has anything on these that I could find so I am geussing they are new and hoping connected.

So what I want to ask is does anyone know of any uses for the above mentioned, is anyone currently working on a quest that involves either, or does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

The dwarf is for the Brellian clicky summon ale necklace. The others I can't help you with...

Dust is for a froglok quest, I think.

Bleh I ran a search by item and by zone and came up with nothing on Allakahzahm, thank you for for clearing that up grats destroy on the pouch.

Has anyone found any connections to anything with the madman in PoK? Or is he just background fluff for LDoN.

Wonder if that fella found the old tombs?

There's plenty buried under the desert of Ro,after all. Rosethorn Tower, the old elven tombs,Takish'Hiz itself...

Five centuries leaves plenty under sand. Then again,he could just be loony, that place is full of madmen.

Occasionally its worth using the advanced search (no clue if its premiumn only sorry) on allakhazam's quest list. The search by item and by zone can fail because not all quest items needed are entered in, sometimes they are just non hyperlinked text which only the keyword search finds.

everquest.allakhazam.com/...earch.html
Enter the a piece of the item name like 'sparkling' and leave all the rest alone. Sometimes a lot of false positives but it can be useful.

Also if you read the free books in the libarary in PoK a Sir Gerre (spelling?) has books that talk about a acient temple to marr that sat in what is now Southern Ro near the great elven forest.

Apparently alot of dead pallies where buried in the temple along with there along with there equipment and even names a specific item a veil that is suppose to have all these holy powers.

I never saw him say under the SANDS of Norrath.

I saw him say shadows stir under Norrath, but never a specific reference to sands. Are you sure he said sands?

I dont think this is LDoN. I think it's more likely the next expansion.
