How many people are needed to kill stanos for that part of the guise of the coercer quest?

Took 4 of us, fairly well equipped... probably could do him with 3. For most people, they bring 1-2 groups.

4 = 4 65's with tons of aa's
well equippped = elemental armor and weapons.
Vindi is easier in my opinion.
We had 11 people level 61 to 65 with a 65 elemental pally as MT, a 65 and two 63 clerics and a 65 druid. Everyone else was between 61 and 63 with about 5 DPS people. Beastlord, monk, and 3 rangers. We wiped 1st try and succeeded the second. Need 2 people to keep the adds busy and the clerics need to keep a CH rotation on the tank. He had 8khp buffed for the fight and the 65 cleric use the 'share hp' aa skill everytime it popped to keep him alive.
It is no joke when people say he quads for 400 and has a delay of 1.

I found it easiest to set up shop at Kith zone and pull Stanos there. Remember that Stanos have zonewide aggro (Tunare-style) so you need to reaggro him a bit outside your camp and not FD/Memwipe on the way in.
He don't like Runes, nor a Chain-CHing cleric so bring some extra patchhealers for a smooth operation unless your tanker is really really good.
Drop rate for head is about 50%.

I've not killed Tunare, what do you mean? Does this mean that every single smuggler in the zone is gonna come down on us?
There's like no info I can find on him ... Slowable? Resists?

Not just smugglers but merchants as well. I dont know what 3 or 4 people group you're doing this with, but it took us a good 20 folks, and we wiped the first time really fast (offed him 3 times afterwards as well).
He hits Really REALLY fast, and seems to like to ping pong around when healers start their CH rotation. I dont think in any way this is an easy fight.

He summons all the smugglers, the merchants, the bartenders....the towns folk...the only people in zone that don't show up are the orcs, gnolls and guards.
And two in partuicular are nasty. Anson and Cyrila always add. Even when Pacified. He still aggros them on you.
this just requires some tricky pulling and GOOD teamwork.

The key is to have the first puller just zone, this allows all the adds to path back. Have a non kos person hail him to keep him in place then once the adds are out of range, have another re-aggro and pull him. Rinse and repeat as needed until he gets closer to whatever zone line you pull him to. Kith zone works fine, never tried it to EK but that should work also.

Easiest pull..for the non elementally armored uber folks..
Have a non KoS person standing ready off to the side way across the big room that anson is in, not in the little cubby itself. Agro Anson to that area, FD, have the person there hail him and keep him hailed during the rest of the entire pull. This simply makes the actual pulling of Stanos less complicated and faster since you wont have to split them.
Have whoever is doing the quest, say to Anson.."I need to see Stanos" and Stanos will pop, IN his normal spot, which is now no longer anywhere near Anson because you pulled Anson across the room and out of agro range. Pull Stanos fast, and FD when needed, the townsfolk etc go to his spawn point first, not to where HE is at the time. Meaning if you pull him fast enough, they wont be within agro range to assist him.
Got Stanos's head on my first kill, but have personally see him die 4 times and not drop it for other rogues.
