New post daggers not showing up & Mark topics read error

If you find that new post daggers are not showing up, please log out of the Safehouse, close all your browser windows, then re open a browser and log back into the Safehouse forums by accessing www.thesafehouse.org

The problems are due to the change over to the "www" from "forums"

The forums use cookies to determine which posts are new, and the domain name for the cookies has changed.

Once you do the above procedure all problems with viewing new topics should fix themselves.

The errors received when marking a forum read are related to the same issue.. Both should go away once the procedure above is followed.

Negative Ghostrider. I still don't have the new topic/new post daggers at either my work or home computer.

I followed the instructions listed here.

The forums are producing indications of new posts, but be aware that any and all unmarked topics prior to the transition to the new domain name structure will be gone. They will build up again.

Nod, this fixes it but it clears all the old posts because its a new cookie.

Er crap it seems I can't edit in here... I meant that you start fresh where nothing is new, and only new ones from when you start using the www.thesafe... link instead of forums.thesafe...

If anyone is still having problems after doing the above procedure (I was), go to your cookies folder and delete all safehouse related cookies after logging out and closing browser windows. That's what I had to do before it was completely fixed for me.

Mine only show when automatic login is enabled. Might wanna try that.

when i access this site...

before i go to the log in...

i see no daggers...

but i figured out that you need to log in before you see the daggers...

it seems to work well...

but that might just be me...

when they don't show up for me, it is because the 'last visited time' is showing up as about 1 second before my 'this visit time'

If I click that link in the upper right hand, "SHwo posts since last visit" the last visit time corrects itself.

I have to do this EVERY time I visit though.
