Does anyone here remix songs? There's a song I need remixed for a project I'm working on, and it's not a likely candidate. I'd like a nice upbeat, techno-ish revamp. I couldn't pay you, but I could score you some schwag from Fox.
Lemme know. I'd really appreciate it. I have no idea how to remix songs, and I'm functionally a dumbass when it comes to the mechanics of music, so I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Do you have an a capella track of the vocals? It's fairly simple if you do, nearly impossible (to do well) if you don't.

Eeek. Unfortunately, no, I don't. All I have is the produced track. Gonna try to look around and find a vocal-only track though.

where would one find the a capella versions? Just on like kazaa, or what? Are there websites that have some?

Some artists (Jay-Z, Basement Jaxx, The Streets, Massive Attack) release a capella vocals via their websites. Others will give them to just about anyone who asks, as long as they get final approval on anything done with them. Some performers won't release them to anyone short of Pharell or Timbaland.
