I remember someone here saying that people (might have just been in CA) who get unsolicated sales faxes have some sort of recourse against the losers sending them.

For the past several months I've been getting these phone calls at all hours of the night that were just beeps, it would even leave messages on my machine. So finally hooked up a fax machine to the line and sure enough its nothing but spam I never asked for (my home number is unlisted too).

So now I know who is doing it, my question is what can I do to them? (preferably legally :P) Glip the Gnome

You can sue them (either the faxer or the company doing the fax) in small claims court for $500 for each instance they faxed. CA recently changed their laws so junk faxes are actionable. Basically try to figure out what their name and location is. If you can find it, and it is in CA you can sue them. First send them a demand letter citing the statute and then if you feel like it, file in small claims.
