STFU Moderators,GuComics, Development politics, H8rs, and NDAs
Reply With Quote   #1

http://www.guforums.com/showthread.php?t=10427&page=10

SO there is an NDA violation on that thread.

So there is our first stuff you of the thread. STFU negative development politics EQ haters!

And I try to point out to the dude that not only is he violating the NDA. But he is pushing a negative agenda about the beta process. I also point out that nobody could give any sort of positive perspective without violating the NDA.

Now the moderator deletes it and leaves the NDA violating thread.

So here is our second stfu of this thread. Stuff you over moderating one sided issue nazis. Go get a fair and balanced sticker from fox news while you rile up all the EQ H8rs and other quitting bahhumbugs and whinners kk thanks

Now so I try to go more positive (much more positive than this thread). I write 3 paragraphs on why its not really the case that the OP conclusion adds up. And it really doesnt take much thought. You just have to consider his words versus his conclusion. And all you need is an objective mind that isnt off on a tangent of H8.

But I realize after I post that even that is a violation of NDA. So h8rs win and GuComics gets its pity party.

So my final stuff you is for NDAs

And that was my list from the title.

Stuff Moderators, Stuff GuComics, Stuff development politics, Stuff H8s, and stuff NDAs. Thats a pretty good amount of stuffing for one day.

The first 90% of any game is the first 90% of the work, the last 10% is the second 90% of the work.

Just keep in mind that it's all worth it in the end.*

That's Software Development in general, not just games.

And even then, After QA gets done shaking out the bugs, add on another 90% of the estimated time it would take.

The reason the post is borderline unreadable is because he's censoring himself using word substitution. Which makes him sound like an idiot.

It's like when your watching Die Hard 3 on TV and Sam Jackson calls Willis a "racist mellon farmer".

But see, "Racist Melon farmer" is still...kinda a deragatory term. It at least gets his anger across.

I learned long ago that GuComics forums are absolute ****, and for the most part so are GuComics. And as far as that goes, so are probably a good 99.9% of webcomics based on video games, and gaming news.

You know, I havent read 8-bit in MONTHS. Around the time of the airship, and then going underwater and....it just got so stupidly bizzare that it seemed like they couldnt even keep a single concept in a strip, let alone throughout it all.

Yeah, I don't read any 'gaming' comics anymore either. Since I dont care about EQ/WoW, I dont really want to read about people playing them, or basing comics on them.

8-bit theater is exactly 0% about the storyline, and 100% about the hilarious dialog. Which it still has.

I just read that comic, the one before it and all the ones after up to the most recent one, and didn't crack a smile.

404: Funny not found. 8bit theatre stopped being anywhere close to funny slightly after the first scene with Garland and never recovered.

I have no issue with Woody's comic ability. When his strips were more relavent to me (ie they were about EQ gameplay) they made me laugh out loud all the time. (the "hell I almost agrod you" wizard comic is hillarious for example). And the new ones I am sure are just as funny though they are less relavent to me so theres a gap. But I never meant to impeach what he does well and takes pride in doing well which is make comics.

I actually tried to edit out woody in the title and put "moderators" so it wouldnt be a personal attack of sorts. But the edit doesnt take. Im surprised this one didnt get locked +)

You'll have to forgive me, I don't take a shot at my sense of humor too seriously when coming from a fan of 8bit theatre.

So, I guess you don't find any sort of comedy funny then, hmm?

"OMG! Homer did/said something stupid!"
"I TOTALLY didn't expect Peter to make an inane reference there!"
"ZOMG! Stewie totally just tried to kill his mom, I NEVER SAW IT COMING!"
"Wow, Will Farrell is totally breaking new ground with that whole, 'outrageously over the top but lovable' act!"

Stewie stopped trying to kill his mom in the new seasons, I don't find the Simpsons as funny any more, and I've never liked Will Farrel in anything.

I find plenty of things funny, 8 bit theatre is not one of them.

I'm more implying that recurring roles and/or running gags are more common than in 8-bit theater. Hell, most sitcoms are rehashes of jokes done a loooooong time ago.

It's true. Nothing with a laugh track is ever funny. Otherwise they wouldn't need to promt you to laugh.

The 3 funnest shows on TV are Family Guy, Scrubs and Venture Bros.

What, you mean the sit com about the fat football fan married to the gorgeous bitch of a wife with their standard 2-3 children, monster in-laws and annoying/humorous neighbor is no longer amusing? But, there's only 5 of those shows currently playing right now on Icelandic TV! Why, it's been entire 2 weeks since I've seen the episode where the big game is on the night of his wedding anniversary and he tries to get out of taking his wife out to dinner without letting on that he's rather watch the game.

I'm more surprised that the fat guy works at ups and affords that quality of house with those children and that kind of wife, then him marrying that cute of a wife.

I'd rather watch that than a show where a group of 20-year-old actors and musicians compete with each other in a popularity contest for prizes and television exposure. That's the 90% of TV that Meddik was referring to.
