Well, the last thread was (a) old and (b) more of a series of questions. I don't have any questions; I have a statement. I am returning to EQ2 on Syntax and Snibbs and/or Batu on Guk server with a buddy.
Any Safehousers still playing? Right now we have a duoing setup and we're starting from scratch with SK/Inquis combo, but, the more the deader the mobs and phatter the lewts and all that.

I quit before they had expansions. Is there a convenient/affordable way to get back into it with all expansions? I might give er a month or two but don't want to throw a lot of coin at it.

Have you ever pondered the advantages and disadvantages of a hemophiliac werewolf?
All their expansions include the previous ones, apparently. I kind of want to get the new one but it seems that it's all 55+ content and I already have Kunark.
They've got a recruit a friend program going on where you get the whole game (downloaded) and all of the expansions. Plus some titles, items, xp bonuses when you group with the friend that recruited you. Just find someone with an active account and give them your e-mail address and they can send you a link to get started. This is valid only for NEW station accounts so if you quit and are coming back it won't work.
You know you're bored when you run the original Zork on an Apple ][ emulator in SuSe running as a virtual machine on Vista64.
Additionally, if you don't want to be recruited, download the trial and it'll give you 14 days. You get all expansions with it and then just subscribe after the 14 days and you're set with everything.
Well, a buddy and I are just running around duoing content. It's fun in that it has good shut-your-brain-off PvE with a bit deeper char customization than WoW and much prettier graphics. *shrug*
Levels are fast, travel is easy, combat is fun and it's EQ so, as far as lore and story go, it's pretty good for the MMO scene (hell, the fantasy genre in general). Far as I can see, it's a top-notch casual game; dunno how that changes at higher levels, though.
i am tired of games that turn into raid fests. even when i join a guild thats more spread out, they last a month or two before turning into a raidfest when everyone levels away from me.
Right now I am wondering why i would want to come back to this game heh.
'cause I'm on it now. You know you can't stay away from the gnome! :P
Anyway, Hordolin said what I would have. Recruit a friend and the trial are easy ways to get in or if you want to just pick up where you left off you can pick up The Shadow Odyssey and it'll set you up with everything to date.

Everyone has different taste. Casual play. No problem. I have no problem logging in for an hour and dinking around killing stuff or doing a couple quest steps. I also have no problem logging in and doing a non-stop kill fest for 5 hours solo. Then there's the raid/group content, ALOT of it but not so much that you HAVE to raid/group. I have taken a character from 0 to 80 without raiding or grouping more than once or twice in the whole time. Now that I started up a second account I'm having a blast 2 boxing and doing content 'on my own' that I didn't get to see solo. Of course you have to remmeber that I'm playing on the Test server where there isn't much opportunity any more for grouping/raiding regularly. I did play a Troubador on Unrest to ..?level 60ish and was constantly grouped/raiding while I was there.

Hi Glip, yeah i saw the shadow odyssey pack and would probably do that. Maybe I'll give it a couple months to break from some VG monotony that has set in.
