G15 missing RSS app/looking for RSS app recomendations
Reply With Quote   #1

So, I recently have been reinstalling all of my software/drivers after recovering from a hard drive failure (one drive failed in a RAID 0 config) and, thanks to having a backup, have almost gotten everything back the way it was... save for my G15 keyboard.

I downloaded the software and installed v8.3, but it's missing the RSS app. The legacy software does have the app, but I was wondering if anybody knew of any trick to get the current version working with it before I resort to that.

Alternately, if I can't get that working, does anybody have any recommendations for non-G15 RSS readers?

So you lost your install and don't have access to any of the files any more? If you have access to the files that were previously there, LCDRSS.exe is what you're looking for. Just add that to your startup
IF you don't have access to any of the files, http://antcodd.co.nr/ has a simple rss reader (plus other cool G15 stuff)

You know you're bored when you run the original Zork on an Apple ][ emulator in SuSe running as a virtual machine on Vista64.

Thank you. That was exactly what I was looking for. The app was installed, apparently, but not loading.

Now to find all of the RSS feeds that I was following...
