I'm not a big fan of card games, but that looks 100% more interesting than any other card games I've seen =P ----------

Too sweet if it's true. Playing Unglued Sealed is some of the most fun I have had playing Magic, even though it had some of the most ridiculous limited bombs of all time. I remember such brilliant cards as Clam I Am, The Cheese somethingsomething, and some creature with Denimwalk. We actually had someone take his pants off when that guy was played. Trust me, that's not something you want to see in a card game store
Unglued was the most fun I've ever had in MtG too. I'll never forget the time when me, a few gaming buddies, and a few of their friends met at a coffee shop to play MtG. Of course, i had to play the Unglued deck and ended up doing the hokey pokey in the middle of a busy coffee shop because I wanted to use the ability of the Knight of the Hokey Pokey. Quite embarassing I assure you.
Oh, I'm quite sure this article is the real deal. First it starts off saying it will happen, and then says it won't, while still insinuating that it will. So then you think that they just added that part to cause confusion and stay in character in the article. But then you think that might be what they want you to think. But then you realize that they're expecting you to realize that might be what they want you to think, so they change it up, so that you think that...
..I'm pretty sure it's real. And yes, Caow, I saw the "April Fools" at the bottom. =P

I never bought a single Unglued pack because I was far too much of a 'serious' Magic player. I spent all my time playing in tournaments and just didn't see the appeal of cards I couldn't use to win money with. Now that I've retired from the tourney scene this actually looks like a lot of fun and I can't wait.
Now if only all my old Magic buddies still lived around here Gage Kitheri

About time they finally released Unglued II. For years people have been posting artwork that looks like it could have been used in it (Ron Spencer's Maggot Farm is a favorite of mine).
Unfortunatly boxes of Unglued are so damn expensive the owner of the comic shop that I play at won't order them b/c he doesnt want to charge us the high price for them (he only charged 89.00/box b/f Darksteel came out and changed the prices of magic). Equally unfortunatly, I never got to play Unglued as it came out b/f I started playing Magic, but you can best believe Im gonna be buying packs of Unhinged like a madman and we will be playing it for a long time at the comic shop. Elder Toprem Level 65 Storm Warden.... yeah im too lazy to make another Ezboard account
What I'm kinda sad about is, my fiance was the one who was an avid MtG collector and was the one who got me into it. But he's stopped collecting since the Judgement expansion and likely won't be interested in picking it back up again anytime soon. Looks like I might have to tough this one out and fork the money over for it myself.

LOL... I was the exact opposite of you. I started late in the alpha run, and didn't last long once "tournament rules" came around. My friends got into it later and were always using the "you can't use that card" line.
This would've kept me playing at the time. Instead, I cashed out.
Unglued was a small expansion that was more or less a parody of Magic cards. For example, there was a card named "Look at me, I'm the DCI!" in Unglued poking fun at the DCI who was mainly in charge of nerfing cards at the time. So the card basically nulled all other cards in play.
Oh yeah thats right, I was thinking of that uh, shadow ability? Sorta like phasing with a different name that was in tempest.
I could see reasons for type 1 bans but type 2 just flat out sucked, hell right now Heroclix is trying to pull the type 2 crap. I don't think they have the player base to support it and all its gonna do is make people angry. Hara
Shadow ability came from Tempest. The new abilities that came from core sets each year was one of the things I looked forward to. And honestly it's not like these new abilities were that hard to understand once you saw them in action, well except for Banding.
I tried to get back into the tournament scene some last year but just wasn't the same without my friends who used to travel with me all over the southeast Gage Kitheri

It just lost its appeal to me after Tempest, I had spent ass loads of money buying cards and then in 2 sets I couldn't use those cards in Type 2. Thats lame. Hara
My only real complaint about type 2 rotations is that the last set of a expansion cycle, let's say Exodus for example which was the last set in the Rath cycle, is only legal for about 15 months unlike the first set of the cycle which is legal for 24 months.
But honestly it's not like anyone is forced to play type 2. There's always extended, 1.5, and type 1. Not to mention just playing big group games or coming up with your own game variant. But anyway I digress.
I'm looking forward to Unhinged and hope I'm able to drag some friends back into the game. Gage Kitheri
