Sometimes I just want to go around slapping... ok not slapping... punching certain message board posters / email writers / people on TV.
Just throw large rocks at their heads in hopes that either A) some sense will be knocked into them, or B) they will be rendered unconscious and society will no longer be burdened by their idiocy.
Just shut it. No one's mind will be changed by what you are saying. No one wants to hear mindless sheep going "Uh, huh" "I agree" and yes, I should've just not watched/read it.
But I'm sick of the signal to noise ratio. I'm tired of filtering every single thing these days even in what I read.
Just grow up and be sensible or at least agree to disagree and leave it at that. Just give me some entertaiment without the so called preaching, just give us all a rest.
You want to be unreasonable? You want to poison our minds and make us feel fat, ugly, un fashionable, not "girly" enough, not "independent" enough, not "successful" enough?
Well go ahead and do that, but dont' be surprised when that huge boulder comes at you. Because just keep pushing me and it's coming your way because I'm annoyed now. But you don't want to see me when I'm angry.

Safehouse Forums Administrator - Wielder of the Whip of Administration (TM) Fricka curtsies elegantly...while picking your pocket! My gaming store, now with iPhone & iPad cases!
If common sence was so common everyone would have it.
Generaly speaking people are stupid.
Generaly speaking people are lazy better to post the same question asked right below there post instead of reading for 5 min.
People who are normaly nice in real life will be arses in on message boards.
I refuse to be admin / moderators on any forums anymore, its a tough loveless job, I have much respect for the forum moderators here for keeping this forum both professionsal and so clean I can read anything without worring about my kids seeing stuff they shouldnt. You all do a geat job.
In all seriousness, I got(I think) where Fricka was coming from.
It seems like whatever you take in today, a conversation, the news, the message boards, you have to stop yourself in the middle of it and sort through someone's ideals, regardless of how you feel about them. People are putting their opinions in everywhere now, and when everyone starts doing it, it turns into a noxious, embarrasing stew of people acting like kids having the you're stupider arguement. Not that it just started being this way, it's just gotten so bad the last few years....

I don't want to live in a world where there are no consequences for being stupid. A few thousand years ago these users would have been eaten by lions.
Ha, sorry guys. I should've mentioned that I moderate on a few other message boards as well (though no where near as actively as here). I was moved to post mainly because of some posters on the other boards
But yeah, Nenjin got the gist of my rant. The "embarrasing stew" is bad and watching people become too wrapped up in it to not even realize how biased they are is also bad.
The "make you feel ugly/unfashionable etc part" was partly due to a "fashion" magazine I browsed through while on the stairmaster at the gym. One year "thin" is in, then "voluptuous" --- so one year all the voluptuous girls feel bad and then the next year all the thin girls feel bad. Sometimes girls are told to be independent then the next they are told they must all be witches with a b or that they must be lesbians.
Oh well, I took a break from all boards and TV and watched Spiderman... nothing like a little escapism to a simpler world to calm you down, hehe.
I dunno, I love my magazines. For instance they sometimes have cool conversions in White Dwarf (not as much lately though, bastards), and the comics in Dragon are fun even though I don't enjoy the articles as much now. PCGamer's not as much fun for me though, they focus so much on the shooty games and too much attitude and not enough substance for me. But it's impossible to find GCW so I tolerate it. Same with Wizard, they're just too cluttered and have too few articles but generally enjoy that mag too.
Wait Deuce, you meant some other magazines? Like those empowering feminist pink ones with "15 tips from the experts on how to please him", "Summer fashion advice from Vogue: How to stay pretty and young this summer", "Supermodel tells all: ways you can use to lose weight and learn to love yourself" and "Paris Hilton shares her secrets on how to attract Mr Right" articles? Those papers never have good reviews of cool stuff like mp3 players or articles about interesting people like Tarantino or how-to guides for making your own night goblin screaming terror battle charriot.
