Spec Tweaking analysis (kinda)
Reply With Quote   #1

I posted a while back about how my inf seemes gimped to hell. He's a saracen with:
str 151
dex 228
qui 151
con 148

At that time his spec was:

CS 39
DW 23
Env 37
Ste 36
Thr 50

I decided that a respec was in order, thought about speccing entirely to DW and thrust (50 DW, 50 thr, 33 env, 34 st), or in fact speccing to slash, i mean what the hell, couldnt get any worse right?

In the end i decided on this:
CS 44
DW 14
Env 37
Ste 35
Thr 50

(the rational being i'll respec again when i get to rr4, currently rr3, to a mercfil spec see above).

I bought the RAs aug con3, aug dex2, DR2, MoP2, aug str1

I did a quick test prior to respeccing on a friendly merc, then again after i'd respecced, this is what i found -

percentage damage increases on:
PA - 11.6%
CD - minus 5.5%
SS - 16.5%
Ga - 21.4%
AH - 24.4%

tests were done by duelling the merc and having him stand there being non-aggressive, over 10 duels with each spec. Analysed by taking the simple average of the damage for each style, obviously there were more garrot/AHs spammed than PA strings. My main concern was the straight melee damage done so i was most interested in garrot/AH.

Has anyone got any info on the straight melee damage done by a mercfil?
