The lore coming of of this season is amusing. The numerologists and psychic types are having a field day.

my boss (who happens to be from Maryland, so no inborn Yankee bias) says that it would be bad for Boston to get rid of "the Curse of the Bambino" because then they will just be another team with no notoriety - that 'the Curse' is what people know them by... not sure how true that will be when they beat St. Louis for the pennant.

Just lightish gold color the little bit I saw before the clouds covered it up. Cnn has a great picture from South America.

I didn't get a picture of it myself. It was below zero here, and I got cold waiting for the eclipse to complete, then I had to throw up (damn being pregnant) so I went inside.

This is just prior to the full eclipse as seen from New Hampshire. It was more of a drying blood red moon than a blood red moon.
