I'm looking to get a Birthday present for my wife. She has a Kyocera KX1 Soho Cell phone, and I had thought about getting one with a ladybug style print on it.

I did some google searches, but no luck. Anyone know of a place that can manufacture custom faceplates for cell phones?

Id check ebay.

Couldn't you just get a blank faceplate and find someone to airbrush it or something?

I've seen lots of faceplate venders in the mall. also the local cingular store has alot of them (but it doesn't seem like a typical store)

If you spray or paint the inside of a transparent case it doesn't scratch off.

You've just got to remember to paint it backwards, ie for a ladybird, starting with the black spots.

The mall would be your best bet. There is always a kiosk that does them... At least here.

I've seen them at Target. Maybe Kmart would have them also.

do it with swarovski crystals for added bling-bling factor. =p

For my old phone I did get a backplate done by a british company I found online. Good delivery, good price and had an online thing for sending your design in. Only problem was they used a metalic backplate rather than a gloss/matt black or white so the custom graphic (space nebula picture) didn't show very well. But there are places out there that do some custom work, just not terribly easy to find.
