The Amazon... untold miles of dense Jungle that some people call the Emerald Forest... at least the Cinta Larga do. Maybe its not emeralds they are talking about... perhaps it is practically one of the largest diamond mines in the world that sits beneath their feet. The Brazillian government has set aside reservation lands for the tribes that have not known about the outside world only 30 years ago. Now miners that were at first invited to mine there by the tribes, in exchange for a certain amount of profit, have been taken over by cartels looking to sell diamonds in place of Cocaine They attempted a coupe of the reservation lands razing parts of the jungle to steal from reservation lands.
It has become a very sadistic slaughter. The miners have killed the tribal leaders of the jungle and now the Brazillian government has become involved. They wish to regulate the diamond mines for the betterment of Brazil but the Natives will not allow them to take what is rightfully theirs. So it has come to a standstill, the question is now, who does the jungle belong to? The native people of Brazil or a government who is on the verge of ethnicide? What do you think?
