This all sounds very nice!


Rogue

* Much higher damage

* More focused attacks

* Build up critical hit points and exploit them using your assassinate attack. Multiple Rogues can work together to build points faster

* Lower the opponents that your group has to fight by incapacitating one or more before combat even starts

* Remain in stealth mode during the entirety of combat – just don’t gain too much of your opponents attention.

looks like incapacitating opponents is becoming a stock rogue idea. I blame diablo 2!

I hope were not limited to a "sap" like effect... like in wow. It seems Rogue's are the only class there that cannot CC after combat starts (of the classes able to CC)

They seem to be giving rogues a little of everything, but they are limited in it. I think I like where they are going.

Just a note, this newsletter was a "leak" but Sigil isn't putting the kabash on us Vanguard Affiliate Sites since it's been leaked out already. If you are in Beta, you must still abide by the NDA though so don't post about it!

Agreed. I'm still waiting on my beta acceptance letter to arrive, and knew that they approved this month's leak before I posted a piece of it here.

heh i know i haven't posted in over a year i've been busy with EQ2.

Sony may just change that with thier Station Access price gouging.

I was looking over the race/class listings for VG and i have to ask why does every race except 3 get to be Rogues?

Wood Elves and Barbarians were rogues in EQ yet in Vanguard they can't ><

I've never understood why some races can or cannot be certain classes. Makes about as much sense as a wizard being physically unable to equip a small handaxe simply because he uses magic.

But that's just my Dragonrealms talking, I guess.

It would make much more sense if rather than be physically unable, there was a penalty for using a weapon you were unskilled in. (wizard w/ hand axe)
