Notice you can buy *used*, "write-once" disks....now why would anyone want a used write-once dvd? Is it for the surprise inside, or just an expensive frisbee?

Probably just packages sent back with nothing written to the DVDs. As in discs never used but package returned.

I sure as hell would never buy them though. When I buy DVDs I buy locally.

Seems to have something to do with the seller. On the front page, featured merchants come under new, but others turn up as used or new. Although if you click through the links there are no used items for sale.
