Aidden, any chance you can up the time before the forum posts are marked read when you're just sitting on the site?

Sometimes I go AFK for like 30 minutes to an hour at a time but I want to continue browsing from where I left off. The problem is if I do that the cookies have expired and everything gets marked as read. I don't want that to happen unless I physically mark them as read.

Aidden, did this fix get reversed? I just had my unread posts get marked read after a half hour or so idle.

No problems with cookies expiring yet... but I have noticed an oddity. It used to be that when I posted a new post in a thread, it would bring me back to that post and mark my new post as read. Now it's not doing that because when I go back to the postings listing for the forum, it's showing that thread has new posts in it and the only new one is mine but I've already viewed it.

This just started happening today, by the way.

Heh, I've never had cookies work right for me. Sometimes entire posts won't be marked as new or unread, othertimes I'll come back after 20 minutes and all the posts that were marked as 'new' (and have since been read) are still marked as new, even tho I'm the last person to have posted in 'em.

That happens on my work computer. I will post and refresh and everything is marked as read. I then shut down IE come back in half an hour and everything is marked unread again.

Chromite, That has always happened to me.

I am currently in the process of updating the templates for the safehouse on a development version running the latest and greatest vBulletin code. I havent had that problem once in over a week, so I think they resolved it whatever it was causing it.

should be moved over by the end of the weekend if all goes well
