Im a rogue playing on Zek server, since a few weeks there are peoples able to see us while we are invis (with SoS AA skill) with a combo of see invis/faerune gear + a see invis aug on it. Example: You take Cavefish goggles and aug it with a see invis aug equip the goggles and you can see invis rogues.
It was fun to play a rogue in pvp in the first weeks of the new expansion but now it's back to the suck status. This bug must be fixed asap!
Funny how you think this is a bug... where have you been the last 3-4 years since they introduced SoS?
What they did is to introduce remains of the revamped invis system that was supposed to be part of TSS but was removed and will probably be added to the game at a later point.
Players have (until the release of TSS) always been able to a SoS rogue.
Until they fix the fact that rogues cannot see themselves with SoS, this combination of See-Invis item/aug is the only way rogues can see themselves... this should not be removed.
And once they fully implement the new invis system, other classes will have means to see us again anyhow.

I disagree. I have always felt that rogues should have the 'edge' so to speak on invis. We shouldn't be seen by other classes. IF rogues want to see themselves..fine...im sure they can modify the code that way or give us an aa to make that happen. Seriously though, we are the sneaks, the 'assassins' so to speak. We should always be 'unseen'.
They have that ability to be unseen (unless you are grey to the player seeing you by I think 20 lvls) in Everquest 2. While it seems to be a nice idea, I can think of ways to use it to do bad things. Ninja loots, trains, general arsehattery. Not that I would, but if I can think of it, why can't someone else?

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate
And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

If someone is going to act like that, they will do it whether or not other players can see them. On any other server than Zek, there is nothing you can do about someone sitting there waiting to ninja loot, train , etc. except petition for a GM and hope for service anyway. On Zek, there are ways for others to either see a SoS rogue or uncover them (using AE's or /pet attack commands)...but thats if they are even within the 4 lvl range for PvP.
But things like this are generally not taken into consideration by the Developers. Bards can do amazing griefing with selos, fade, high sung (the one that ports an NPC back to it's bind spot), and alliance...enchanters with alliance and perma unresistable mezz...wizards with insta cast nukes used from horse...monks just being rediculous in general...even us rogues being able to one round people (i got a 18.7k trip BS on my guild's MT, this would one round anyone but a warrior on the Zek server).
The only time recently that the Dev's nerfed something specifically with PvP in consideration was the monk Clawstriker ability from TSS. They had monks hitting for i think 30k crits with it in PvP while running Ashenhand so they made it PvE only.
ppl concider this a "bug" because as of some patch rogues with SoS are unseeable with normal means. a further patch made it possible to see ourselves and our groupmates to see us. altho nothing has ever been done about the workaround that someone found to see sos. as it is w/o this "exploit" you cannot see a rogue while they are sos. if SoE wanted rogues to be seen they would have patched it back to everyone can just see us. not patched it to letting group members to see us and to see ourselves. i ask why does see invis stack when haste augs in haste gear and dogde % mod augs in dodge % gear not stack? why let rogues be invis to all but allow an aug stacking workaround to see us? at this point i could care less. it was a short lived couple weeks where i could move around w/o fear. SoE has enough to answer to with our lack of triple attack and marginal dps lead (if that) that i dont see them even adressing the questions about why sos is the way it is.
