This is some artwork by a guy named Spacecoyote

I think this guy is pretty good.
(didn't really seem like an anime forum post.. then again I could be wrong)

I saw those earlier, but decided against posting them. I still love the detail though. Note Fry's dog. *grins evilly*

Y'know, I think that's the first time it's been mentioned that Toprem hasn't started bawling his eyes out over the mere thought of mentioning it...

Also, the Fed-Ex logo has an arrow in it Toprem.

Why is it American-drawn manga always looks like an imitation of the Japanese, rather than the real thing? It's a bit too realistic and detailed to pass for Japanese.

See in that pic it's obvious that the cause of Lisa's consternation is the fact that Milhouse is holder her hand. Whereas in the anime pic it looks like she's reacting to whatever is on the TV.

....why?

The last thing I've ever thought about when watching Simpsons was the animation style.

I mean, it's a comedy.

I don't watch TV, and I can get plenty of comedy elsewhere, and getting simpsons on pc is kind of like getting out of the way to spend time on something you'd rather not.

I've got a smart-ass answer for this, but the anime fanbois on the board would go apesh*t, so I'll refrain.

The series really should have died a few years ago though.

Ditto. I've stopped collecting the DVD sets with season 8.

I dunno... I thought the same thing about Simpsons getting worse, but I was going through the seasons on DME and there's plenty of good shows from the last several seasons (I started at Season 13). Some are lackluster, but I probably still average a few audible chuckles per episode.

This latest season has actually improved over the last one IMO.

Was looking at the guys webpage...

http://spacecoyote.deviantart.com

which was interesting and all, but then I saw this quote...

Long story short: Bongo Comics, Matt Groening's comic book company, is hiring me to do the pencils for a short manga-style Simpsons comic. Also, I've been contacted by 20th Century Fox. They want me to do work for them somehow. I might get a design job for the upcoming new Futurama series!
did I just not know about potential new Futurama? Because I'm pretty sure that's something I should know.

It stars Hypnotoad and fossilized Seymour. They solve crimes. Seymour is a by-the-book rookie cop and Hypnotoad is a cop who will do whatever it takes to bring in the perp.

Oh... and there's a time-traveling killer robot (presumably Bender) and a talking pie (presumably apple).

Not potential, definite. Comedy Central is going to be airing new episodes in...2008, I think.

From Wiki (just the quickest source):

On June 22, 2006, Comedy Central announced that at least 13 new episodes were to be produced, to air with the reruns in 2008. Comedy Central also confirmed that Billy West, Katey Sagal, and John DiMaggio would return for the new episodes, with a 2008 debut planned; however, an unofficial fan site reports that the new Comedy Central episodes would consist of the straight-to-DVD movies, each split into 4 episodes (making 16 new episodes) rather than additional new material. According to an interview with David. X. Cohen, the Futurama team are around half way through writing the new season, and Rough Draft Studios have just started animating. The new season will be set two years after the events of the last season, and will re-visit Fry and Leela's relationship and unanswered questions about Nibbler, dark matter and Seymour the dog. A new character has been confirmed, an evil alien nudist named Nudar.

The first movie, currently under the working title Futurama: Bender's Big Score, is in production. The film is written by Ken Keeler and David X. Cohen, and will include return appearances by the Nibblonians, Seymour, Barbados Slim, Morbo, Robot Santa, the "God" space entity, Al Gore, and Zapp Brannigan. In an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Al Gore confirmed that he would appear in the movie, playing his disembodied head. David. X. Cohen later confirmed that he would also appear in the new season, and would be involved in a storyline which will show "what really determined the outcome of the 2000 Presidential election".

I forgot to mention that there would be celebrity cameos as well.

In the first season, these are confirmed:

Rosie O'Donnel as Lois the hooker
That guy from the Dell commercials as Whorebot
Will Ferrel as Rosita, the geriatric transvestite prostitute
And Richard Nixon's head on Pimpbot 5000's body, as voiced by Alan Alda

I don't know why, but for some reason reading that, it just comes off as...oh whats that called, it's been awhile since I've seen it...oh yeah, "person on internet making **** up!"

I'm referring to all the jobs the person claims to be getting. I know the new Futuramas are real.
