yeah, the real tip-off is the "almost as large as the moon" thing... that would mean being what, like 10000% the size it is in the sky right now?

That is from a bad bit of editting from the 2003 approach. It was supposed to say that mars with even a relatively low powered satelite could be seen as clearly as the moon is with the naked eye.
