Anyone know if Geomantra absorbs spell damage up to 1k, then fades like a rune. Or will it continue to absorb spell damage as long as its up, just limited by a max absorb of 1k per nuke.
Ohh believe me.. all the DPS people were pissed when he got the clickie. There is a mask that has Geomantra III on it from Ashengate raids that has been really common for us. It has DPS classes as available classes and then the clickie does not work. Our guildie that won the item was really pissed at the waste of DKP for it.
We were all going to get one to help with spell damage if the clickie worked, but so far it is not working.
Fix would be insanely simple.... let the items we have with mana show up on our stats. If I recall correctly I actually used to have a mana bar too way back when.
/mumble My guild is finally getting back into TSS after initially breaking in about a year ago (had to rebuild) and that click was one of the items I had wanted for the exact reason you mention above.
Doesnt it say it uses mana as a reagent or something in its description? I just looked it up and what I found it says was
Slot 1: Mitigate Spell Damage by 20%, 500 total
Slot 9: Decrease Mana by 2 per tick
Slot 10: Decrease Endurance Regen by 2 per tick
So from that description I would have just assumed it would be casters only, just like their focus effects are of no use to us. Im sorry it doesnt but I cant see them fixing it really, any more then they would fix focus effects for casters only, since it seems to be working as they intended.
I think for all of the other items that have this clickie they are for casters only listed within the classes. The TSS item though clearly has non-casters on it as well as classes and it is a pretty good looking mask statwise. Would have been nice if the clickie ran down our endurance in place of mana or just use some of that mana that is already on all my gear.
It's a bug that they've (obviously) been dragging their heels on for a year.
The last time I talked to Merloc about it I told him that it was stupid that it's taken a year to fix it. I told him that it had a re-cast restriction, wasn't particularly powerful, etc, and that it should just have the drain portion removed. He agreed.
Cool, well I hope it gets fixed then in SoF. Thanks for the info you two.
Kind of a whore for clicks, especially ones that turn me into less of a mana sponge on raids.
Most ramp can be avoided on the edge of max mellee, but some dps is lost doing this. Worn spell shield almost max, so this little click would hopefully reduce my aoe damage to something I can heal with HOT pots. At least in the content we are currently doing.
I am the same way when it comes to clickies.. can never have to many in my opinion.. because you never know when you are going to be out in the boonies somewhere and that little clickie is gonna save your butt..
