OMG IT’S GONNA SNOW….OHHHH NOOOOOOO

Damn GA…people are freaking out because we MAY get some snow or possibly <GASP> SLEET

So our one and only fund raiser, a wrestling tournament has been canceled. The school Superintendent has canceled all activities.

We normally make 9k on this tournament and we had over 800 boys registered.

It’s not like were are going to get 2 feet of snow…it is a maybe we will get 2 or 3 inches

DAMN GEORGIA

When you get snow and sleet in places that normally don't, the bad drivers come out in droves.

We got snow once (1996 I think it was) and while none of it stuck to the ground, it caused lots of nasty wrecks.

I assume you saw the stupid number of school closings at 10pm the night it dropped 2 inches on the cars and nothing on the roads?

This state is bleak.

PA drivers are okay. At least we can handle a little snow. Bah. Drive slower, take curves carefully, turn on your lights so other drivers can see you, be defensive, and turn into any slides. Ain't that hard.

Snow is like $&*@in' kryptonite to Georgians.

Have fun driving in Atlanta if that happens.

There is no driving in atlanta when snow happens, there is instead lots of sitting in your car cussing at all the morons in front of you.

Here in Tennessee traffic was actually backed up so bad near a local grocery store that people were getting out of their cars and leaving them in the middle of the four lane highway to try to get into the store before they ran out of everything. No joke.

hehehe, you weren't here in 1992 when people were stuck inside 3 days because it snowed. =) Peoepl were stuck in Waffle House and Walmart for those 3 days! Me, I'd have walked home, lol.

You can drive on snow fine, it when it freezes over and the ice is covered that it becomes an issue. The State used to export all it's salt, now they've learned we need to keep some for stuff like this every 10 years. I was very glad they salted the overpass last week. It was the only place I worried about when commuiting.

It was ZERO this morning.

The snow that fell last week has turned the roads into a gigantic skating rink, due to the minute melting from the sun, and immediate re-freezing.

I'm actually worried every time I go to school, cause I've seen at least two crashes every morning since it snowed, and damn near been in three of them.

Other drivers boggle my mind. 'Speed Limit' does not mean 'go this fast when there's more ice than pavement'.

I would expect people from MN to be able to handle snow though; I know when I was in South Dakota and Iowa, snow was second nature - you could do 80 on an icepatch and no one thought anything about it.

Seriously, that's the part of the country where three feet doesn't cancel school, it just means you need to start digging your way there earlier.

People who slow down because there is snow and ice on the ground don't piss me off as much as the people who start driving 10 miles under the speed limit just because the temperature dropped to the lower to mid 30s. No precipitation anywhere but these morons seem to think black ice has sprung up overnight forcing them to drive slowly.

We always joked where I grew up that the only way school was canceled was if the superintendent couldn't get to his garage in the morning to get to his car.

It was attached.
