So they got a website up now. I can't remember where we were discussing this innovative trainwreck at before (search failes me today), but man oh man does it have potential to be one of the weirdest things to hit the screen (or more probably DVD) in a long, long, long time.

The website loads the trailer slow, but it's worth waiting for the weirdness of it all. When it does hit DVD, I want to see the interviews with the cast and crew about how they got money for this. Good or Bad, it would be comedy gold to see the pitch to the suits and moneymen.

I see Google has the original site being the amusingly URLed www.repoopra.com. Can't imagine why they changed the address.

Tony Head? Awesome. Also, great singer.

Paris Hilton? Not so much.

Its got some folks with serious singing chops, and it's got Chop Top (Bill Mosely). It's got well known actor Paul Sorvino...and it's got Paris Hilton. This movie is going to be very weird, but I expect that even it it sucks horrendously, it would be a fun 1.5-2hours with alchohol.

Looks like it might almost half-work as a musical--singing and talking. But if it's really an opera, that is, entirely sung, my skepticism knows no bounds.

Looks awesome to me. Although id much prefer to see the live musical over a film.

****ing came out here and it's only over in Louisville and only in one theatre and its NOT the one that usually gets films like these and that has midnight movies that I go to. ****ing theatre has taken this, JCVD, AND Let The Right One In. It better not ****ing take The Wrestler.
