Anyone else think that a few of them kinda look like a Phoenix?

Awesome pictures!

Took them with my Sony DSC-T20 in 8 megapixel resolution...

Really awesome at full quality but hard to find an image source for 1.5 meg files.

Love the fireworks mode.

It's good that you live somewhere besides Pennsylvania, where the best you can buy is a six-inch sparkler.

Wish I had taken all that acid last night, instead of the night before... fool!, fool!...

When did they change that? When I lived there (most of the 90s) you could pretty much buy whatever you wanted. There were giant stands outside the supermarkets selling roman candles and stuff like that. It was good times.

You can buy nearly any type of firework in PA from Phantom Fireworks in Breezewood, unless you're a PA resident, then you can't shop there at all.

Bah, WA State used to be awesome, all the indian reservations had the best stuff ever, but now it's all banned from being taken off the reservation. lame.

the fireworks the city puts on every year was pretty good this time around, but i still miss lighting off my own.

The deal with PA is that you can buy jsut about anything at the little shops that are set up. the kicker is that if it goes Bang its illegal and your not allowed to use them. I remember a comercial i just heard on the radio that stated. " If you see someone with illegal fireworks, its your duty to call the police." Rediculous huh?

Most fireworks are legal here, with the exception of bottle rockets, and things like M-80s. But when you live 40 miles from the MO border where bottle rockets are legal that's not hard to over come. I also know at least three people that could get me M-80s if I wanted them, but I don't really need 1/4 stick of dynamite for anything at the moment so I passed yet again this year. Though it is pretty cool to drop an M-80 into a trash can filled with water.

We moved to another spot but it wasn't much better. I didn't mind the boat blocking things too much, it made for an interesting silhouette. Uploading the pics seems to have degraded them in quality a little but it was a darn good show.

The trip was worth it though. I sailed as crew up to Santa Barbara then climbed in the mountains above town (not where the fire was) with friends then we went back to the boat to party and watch fireworks. The next day we sailed to one of the Channel Islands spent the night and kayaked around the islands and sailed home.

I r tired.
