I seem unable to get my LCD to work in digital mode with my ATI card. The monitor has two plugs, and a DVI and VGA. I can connect the VGA through an adapater to my video card and i get video. However, under no circumstances can I get the LCD to work in digital mode. It worked just fine with my old GEFORCE card.
If I hook up my both the dvi and the vga i get the analog picture and catalyst control is able to recognize that there is a DVI connection, but if I set that to be my main the display turns off.
Any ideas how I can get this damn monitor to work in Digital picture with my fricking card?

Not sure if you're trying to run the monitor at 1920x1200 (if that's your monitor's native resolution) but try lowering you desktop resolution with the analog connection, unplug it then hook up the DVI connection. From there (if it works), raise the resolution back up to see if that was the problem (if it goes black it'll reset back to the working resolution after 15 seconds).

Ive tried that and it didnt work. My monitor's native resolution is 1900x1200, but i cant even choose that, which is also driving me crazy. Max is 1600x1200.

Not sure if this is significant, but i just noticed that CCC uses EDID to determine what monitor I have it believes I have a m25e15, but i have an m25214.
Turn off EDID and set it manually. I know my old Samsung CRT wouldn't show a 1600x1200 resolution properly until I turned EDID off.
I seem to recall max resolution over VGA being 1600x1200 (or some having that limitaion), so that part is normal.
Edit: Looking at the CCC it doesn't appear you can 'disable' EDID, you just have to force a resolution and refresh rate (which would just bypass EDID).
One point to note is that a while back one of the Catalyst driver sets screwed up my monitor's native resolution (1440x900) by dropping to 30Hz when that resoluton was chosen, forcing me to go back to my older driver until the next Catalyst was released. Not sure which OS you're using or which version of Catalyst, but try a couple different sets (the Cat 9.3s were the last big update for all ATi cards including the old X1xxx series, so that might be a good reference point to fall back to) to make sure it's not simply a problem with the Catalyst driver for that month.
Also, check to see if there are any drivers available for your monitor. That might be the issue.

No drivers for my monitor, I looked. Ive tried 3 different CCC versions as well as a hot fix they came out with for this exac problem. Of course, many people say it didnt help them either.
I'm assuming you've fiddled with the DVI settings in the CCC, but if not I've made a pic of the screen in the CCC and circled the settings below.
You should check for any Windows Updates, particularly for .net or any display related items. Also checking the physical connection (bent pins, loose connection, etc.) wouldn't hurt.

Yah, ive gone through it all. After so much research, Ive found that it is some sort of miscommuncation between vista, my card, and my monitor. ATI is working on fixes, but each fix only helps a portion of all the people with the problem. Ive at least got it to run in full resolution. I hope they fix it soon.
Err, out of curiosity Ruccus, do you know where would I find similar options for nvidia cards? I have a similar problem that I've been bypassing because it's proved to be easier than solving it but this looks like the kind of settings that could solve it and I never found those when looking for them.
