I've got a buddy who is over there right now in Manilla for State Farm, training call center people >.>
He's been there for almost 2 months and said so far, everyone has been really friendly. He's lived in Germany for 2 years and has some sense of how Americans are received abroad, and he said Americans are still loved over there.
He also said that he's gotten a lot of attention from the women, being a white guy. In his words, "Over here I'm like a walking paycheck, because American money goes so far in the Philippines."
