Hey guys, Wotan and I are playing on Riddermark server.

We were playing the closed beta and are now playing live.

I happened to make exactly ONE OOC comment today and I got a tell from someone asking me if I was Fricka from the Safehouse.

I answered, "It depends on who's asking." But I relented and said "Aye" right after.

Turns out I was talking to Kezzek!

So if any Safehousers are thinking of trying out Lord of the Rings, think about Riddermark

Hehe I have a Fricka on Landroval too but free to play enticed Wotan to play so I thought starting on a fresh server would be a good idea and then I ran into Zezzek so... we'll be staying here

I was having fun on this game until no matter what i did, it crashed. Well, now my laptop crashed and had to reload it, so now the game might work again.

Hrm... I'll have to check it out.

I'll have to try and hook up. I've been playing LOTRO off and on for last year on free trials. Each time I try a different class, and I found it very nicely done.

My wife and I are planning to try it, though I'll probably be using a new name as well.

EDIT: out of curiosity did anyone have a problem with the downloader (high detail version). It's crashed on me twice and it's only at 5%. :(

My current character is named "Tanor"

Noop. Don't even know what that is. I wanted to play a CC class and I think elves are silly so I picked human. Disliked the naming scheme for the other human races so went Bree-lander and figured I'd roll an homage to Ambrose Bierce. Soon as I named my pet KamikazEmo, that homage kind of flew out the window, though.

I've got an elf minstrel named Virgil on the server.

I can't even imagine the odds. That's why we're rogues (burglars)-- fate brings us fortune!

Probably very few of you folks remember me, but I knocked around here with Fricka, Zato, Remmi, Aidden and scores of other fine folks back in the Everquest hey-day. The board is telling me it has been over 2 years since I last checked in here. It's fantastic that this community is still going strong!

So...LOTRO!

Fricka, Wotan (Voden), and I (Hunnicutt) and I baptized the Great Burrow last night in a skirmish scenario. We managed to kill the ugly fellow we were sent to take out but alas, it was not done as the game designers wished it to be and didn't give us credit. I blame Remmi because he was always a damn stinky dwarf.

Long time no see.

It makes sense that you guys would show up in LOTRO after I gave it up.

I had a Guardian named Rune for two years. Turbine created a NPC named Rune in Moria and then decided that my name was against the ToS because I had the same name as an NPC.

Really pissed me off.

I had the same thing happen in original EQ lol.

Apparently you can't mail kinship invites, you have to both be online. So, I'll send folks an in-game note to see if we can arrange an invite.

Well, Monday night my pc went splat. Did some tinkering and found that the motherboard had gone. Instead of fixing it like I have for several years now I have opted to instead just jump into this millennia and get a laptop. Ordered it today, but I will be offline for a week or so.

I've sent out in-game messages to everyone listed above. LOTRO implemented a minimum level of members (read: accounts) that must be in the kinship to remain in existence beyond five days.

The minimum is 8 accounts, and we're currently at 5.

The Safehouse kinship might go by the wayside in a couple days until we can get 8 accounts (f2p or subs, doesn't matter) to sign on. Luckily, there is nothing invested in the kinship (e.g. kinship house) and the kinship charter can be repurchased for a very minimal cost.

Hope to see some fresh Safehouse faces in-game soon! It'll be a blast ripping through some skirmishes together.

If I understand correctly LotRO now has a FtP option. If so and you are interested I could PM you my account info and you could use it to help fill the requirements.

For those of you interested I was able to find a website that give 30 minute delivery on a MoM key or 15.00. For those that don't know, the one time cost gives you 500 TP, unlocks the areas of the world that you would otherwise need to purchase using tp and access to the two classes among other things.

I made another Brelkor or Riddermark (guardian). I am level 14 already.

My old server was Brandywine where i had a lvl 21 warden and a host of other chars. Will probably be switching between them as things work out.

Shared storage is expensive in the store! crap.

Think i might take advantage of the 6800 points for 50 bucks, thats a lot of upgrades.

I'm on nearly nightly. Getting all 5 char slots into their twenties and grinding up Brelkor slowly. Mucking around the barrowlands.

Started playing, hobbit minstrel named Meikin.

Hrmmm, I played quite a bit back in beta and after launch, went back to it a while ago on Landroval, whicvh was my server when I played before, but just had frustrations playing the class I like most now(Warden) since it's pretty much a solo game until your 50s and I didn't get many opportunities to do dungeons which I recall liking back in the day, but I think I will go roll a new warden on Riddermark after I re-dl and install LoTRO....

The new instance and rewards system helps promote grouping, starting with the great barrow.

On a lark dropped by today, been a long while.

I've been playing LotRO since before it went Live and love it.

It's turned very casual over time, but you get out what you put in... as they say.

I only have characters on Elendilmir. I do have a high level Burglar and enjoy the gameplay. The upcoming changes to the class will go a good ways towards making it a lot more fun.

Currently, I really, really enjoy the Warden class.

P.S. The upcoming raid is being billed (by players!) as a complete Rift killer (not the game Rift, but the best instance LotRO has ever had). Bigger, badder, and extremely well done. There's arguments about the current iteration of the raid set itemization, but those are being worked on.
