Looks like a high potential for geek humor in this one.

Looks hilarious, I just hope it's better than Hot Fuzz. Dunno why, but to me Hot Fuzz was such a disappointment to me compared to Shaun of the Dead.

Its because you were comparing it to Shaun of the Dead.

I liked Hot Fuzz a lot, because it was definitely poking fun of the action movie genre spot on.

I actually prefer Hot Fuzz to Shaun of the Dead. I think it was paced better and was *slightly* funnier.

I can't watch this and not think about how it looks like they're ripping off Roger from American Dad.

It's funny because I was thinking the same thing. To be fair though, if you meant look-wise, they are just ripping off every existing alien stereotype.

Still excited to see Simon Pegg / Nick Frost again. I gotta agree with Toprem in that Shaun of the Dead was better than Hot Fuzz to me... but I absolutely loved Hot Fuzz (do you know any other movies that offer a flying kick to an old lady's face AND Point Break references?)

I loved Hot Fuzz. Masterful spoofing. Maybe it's the fact Shaun of the Dead was first in a lot of the stuff that gets repeated in Hot Fuzz?

At first, I thought the alien was Brian Posehn. Then I was disappointed when I realize it was Seth Rogen.

That would have been a much better movie...

Except most of that stuff was repeated from Spaced.

...which was quite a fun series to watch - you can watch the entire run on Hulu.

I'm not much of a fan of Seth Rogen, but the Simon Pegg/Nick Frost duo might overcome that negative for me.
