Where to get a Golem Metal Rod
Reply With Quote   #1

Can anyone tell me what where I can farm these? What drops it, where, and what's the placeholder? I've never seen any reports on this since the CT revamp. (Do they even still drop?) Bayler - Marauder/Deceiver - Xev
Tessally - 57 Nun of Solusek Ro - Xev

Golem metal wands were nerfed totally and completely.

insta cast to 4.0 second, obscene price to recharge, and no longer drop. (I've leveled a rogue to 37 on the lizard outside, got alsmot every old CT stuff to drop, never saw a wand).

They are gone for good.

fyi..Can no longer recharge them via the vendors. Not only does it not recharge the second GMR it takes off all charges on the first GMR. I guess thats what we get for being sneaky rogues.

SONY!

Are you sure you sold em back in the proper order? I think it would be pretty hard to code one item for recharge nerf. And I'm sure there would have been a massive uproar if recharging had been nerfed in general.

At one point in time I have a hand-made backpack with 10 wands in it, plus one more in my bank for re-charging. You did not have any buffs if you dueled me. /snicker -Sinc

When I become the Evil Overlord, one of my advisors will be an average 5 year old child. Any flaws he can detect in my mad schemes will be corrected immediately.

you can still recharge, I use this trick all the time with my monk, forlorn totems of rofron zek sell for 4pp and buy back for 7, he carries 3 of them and banks a 4th, I have used it on my shaman to recharge pumice in an emergency (massive pvp in a zone with no pumice vendor and I couldnt leave)

there are other uses for it but these are so uber that revealing the secrets would have ninjas on my ass in no time.

Recharge cant be nerfed

IMHO recharging is being considered an exploit.
As they know about it and are using workarounds instead of a real fix (they just made the most common recharge items very very expensive when being bought at vendors), I seriously doubt it doesnt work anymore.

As I am just back to the game after 18 months of absence, correct me if I am wrong...

its not nor was it ever considered an exploit, they bummped the price up on several items to make them unreasonable to recharge, on others to bring them in line with a fair cost, and on other items they are consumable, i.e. when you use the last charge it disappears.
