How do u not fail on making poison, I usually have kei/tranq/voq on when making poisons for the int. I heard that dex/str maxed will help the chances of not failing. This was stated by an enchanter, but i need to know what the rogues think=). ?
Stat scores only affect your chance of getting a skill-up. They do not affect your chance to fail a combine.
There are 2 thing you can do to decrease fails on combines:
1) Get your poison skill maxed at 250 and get a +skill increase item for poison (like the Grandmaster trophy/seal). That way your poison skill will be maxed at 252 (highest allowed when using a +skill item).
2) Get the AA skill Poison Mastery. For Tier 2 poisons, even PM1 is a significant decrease in fails. I got a ~50% decrease in fails when I acquired PM1 (even though the aa skill description indicates it should have only affected it by 10%).

Pumping up my dex as high as it would go with my items seemed to help me the most in the 200-250 range... I had tried for a while with only maxxing int, and didn't get as many skill ups and successful combines. I definatly second the motiong that stats have no affect on ssuccess rates. Once you a modified skill of 252, the only think that will help is AAs. Ishwar - level 58 Barbarian Rogue - GM smith - Dawnraiders
