You also need the unswerving sword of faith which drops off some undead near the graveyard. Hand both to the suit of armor in the graveyard for an unmeasurably small amount of exp.

I just love imagining the developer who created this quest. Late night, slaving over his or her desk, scratching his or her head. Trying to make it perfect. Coming up with: get a sword and a shield, carry it 20 feet, hand it to some guy, who effectively gives you nothing for it.
