I have played SZ for the last 2 years. I have seen the high end game on all 3 teams top guilds (including some brief leadership positions). As it stands, the server is simply not worth playing on. Quality PVP is non existant, as is quality PVe unless you play on the evil team. I have little faith in SOE to fix the server to make it playable for non-evils, and in fact expect them to make it even worse. The training and politics make the server so far from enjoyable that even logging on gives me a headache.

I have heard similiar things about the RZ server. Too much politics and that PVP is blacklisted at the high end.

That leaves TZ/VZ. Can anyone thats a veteran to the high end game on these servers tell me whats its like? I am interested in both PVE AND PVP. Specifically if I level up I want to be able to join a real guild that raids Time + content but also doesn't discourage PVP.

well tallon zek high end pvp has a lot of contenders, there is a wide gap between each different guild's progression, but pvp is frequent guild vs. guild for control of zones. Of course people will train you, xp kill you or what not but that is a risk ya gotta take. I could never play a blue server and never played on anything else.

As it stands right now, VZ is your best choice. TZ has a history of problems with the high end guilds training each other. There was some attempt to have a train free truce going, but last I read that was broken when Pande somehow trained a ton of mobs on one of the other high end guilds at Rathe.

VZ may not be perfect, but 99% of the PvP I see is pretty clean and most trains that occur are accidental and not intentional. PvP is very alive at the high end on VZ. The #1, #2, and #3 guilds are all in time and all KOS each other. The #4 guild (which is EP) KOSes #1, #3and #5. The #5 guilld (which is EP also) KOSes #2 and #4.

But to tell the truth, AD is Leading the euro majority on VZ and Defiant the US Time players and both are on same level PvE wise atm.

so basicaly unless u join pande u wont get very far high end

Actualy now Discordia and Indignation are both in time. And yes there is alot of unclean pvp imo. from what i hear VZ is nice.

Training and Corpsecamping lead to guilddisband in most highlvl guilds on VZ.

Moreover the ppl on VZ have brains somewhat like elephants, once you made a reputation good or bad all will know and will effect hard your gameplay.

We even have some Server Rules for lousy things like Zonedancing (from non PvP zones to PvP Zones and back over and over again) but this is something less respected and only from the honorable ones.

LNS (loot and scoot) is not only a word on VZ.

The good thing is that the highlvl guilds all resprect the rules (atleast most officers) so if a newbie lvl 65 (or ebayed one) think he can break this serverrules he will find himself hard punished by the people with better gear...

Just a friendly reminder folks, we don't want server drama here at the Safehouse. I know you're trying to be helpful in answering his questions, but please try to be a bit more generic when referring to guild A training guild B and what counts as "dirty" PVP.

VZ sounds like fun, but I like how TZ is. Im try to keep out of the trains, xp killing, **** talking, and stuff, but the dirty pvp is what makes TZ what it is and it makes the game just a little more interesting. I might have to start an alt on VZ so i can see what it's like there, sounds interesting =)
