Today Cryptic launched City of Heroes' eighth update, "To Protect and Serve".  Heroes now get Safeguard Missions where they help to prevent villains from wreaking havoc on Paragon City, a Police Band feature similar to CoV's newspaper missions, and a revamp of Faultine, one of Paragon City's Zones.

Improvements available to both City of Heroes and City of Villains are Pocket D Arenas and the Veteran Rewards program.
